Hello , As I reflect on the start of a new calendar year, in the midst of a snowstorm here in Pittsburgh, PA, I am reminded of the many changing seasons we all experience throughout our professional and personal lives. We are beginning a change of seasons at IACP where we are saying goodbye to Anne Tamar-Mattis and hello to our new Executive Director, Michael C. Russell, CAE, MBA, who began his role on Monday, January 3, 2022. Michael joins us from Kansas City, KS, USA, and comes to us with a background in nonprofit management and extensive Executive Director experience. This is a very exciting time for us as Michael brings a fresh vision, enthusiasm, and a unique skill set that will undoubtedly help us grow and strengthen IACP. At the same time, Anne has given so much to this organization and she will be very deeply missed. Please help me in welcoming Michael to our IACP family! I am very excited that IACP is continuing our tradition of offering advanced workshops to Collaborative Practitioners from around the world through the 2022 IACP Global Virtual Institute which will be held March 28 – 31, 2022. I hope you will join me in registering for the Institute and taking this opportunity to learn together with our fellow members from countries far and wide. I have wonderful memories of exploring the Art and Craft of Deep Peace, discussing hot topics of Practice Group growth, and attending a luau together from the last Institute that was held in Honolulu and I have heard glowing reports of other Institutes in Australia and other destinations. The Virtual Institute will allow us all to more easily “commute” to a space where we can learn together online before we join together in person for our next Forum in Orlando, Florida in October. I hope you will consider completing an expression of interest to be considered for membership on the IACP Board. I have found service on this Board to be remarkable labor of love. The form can be found here. I cherish the relationships I have made and the experiences I have had as a Board Member which have been memorable and invaluable. I am so proud of our hard-working Board and I am always so energized by our work, (and fun), when we are together. If you would like to join us, please submit your expression of interest to be considered for membership on the IACP Board. I hope the next season finds us all feeling more confident in our health and safety and with an abundance of both work and play. It is indeed a small world, and we have much in common. We are in this together. Respectfully, Lori Gephart IACP Board President |
