Hello ,

The last two months have been nothing short of amazing. As I write this, Anne Tamar Mattis is wrapping up her final few projects and concludes her time, professionally at least, with IACP. She has steered us through a Pandemic, enhanced membership offerings, got innovative with outreach, and helped spread further light on the Collaborative profession. In this transition of leadership, Anne has helped me understand the intricacies of this Executive Director position and has been a steady voice. We should all take a few moments and thank her for the work and energy she put forth to help grow IACP and Collaborative, worldwide.

In the next few weeks, we are preparing several incredible initiatives for you; the Global Virtual Institute, United Nations-recognized World Creativity and Innovation Week (featuring Collaborative!), expanding technology and innovation, producing monthly webinars, preparing for the 2022 IACP Forum in Orlando, and so much more. I hope you join IACP President Lori Gephart and me for the IACP Town Hall on March 15, 2022. We will discuss the future vision of IACP, review organizational goals, consider plans for potential technology enhancements, answer questions, and even laugh together.

The IACP Board of Directors has entrusted me to help lead this incredible organization. I promise you we will have a lot of fun through robust results. Lastly, thank you for your membership and support of IACP and Collaborative. We have a long road ahead. Our collective success starts with you.

IACP's Board welcomes diverse interdisciplinary professionals from around the world who are active members, can attend regularly scheduled videoconference board meetings, are available to travel to Forum and semi-annual in-person board meetings, are leaders in fundraising efforts, and are willing to serve as ambassadors of IACP!

All applications and recommendation letters must be received by February 28, 2022, to be considered. Please have two references provide a recommendation letter directly to IACP Executive Director Michael C. Russell.

Potential Board members must have:

• Maintained IACP membership for at least one year,
• Served on at least one IACP committee prior to consideration for Board service; and
  
• Attended at least one Annual Networking and Educational Forum
• Specific requirements and policies can be reviewed here.

Board terms run for three years and will begin immediately after the 2022 IACP Forum in October

Elisabetta is an Italian collaborative lawyer, divorce mediator, and teacher for the Post Graduate Legal Training School and a collaborative trainer for AIADC, the Italian Collaborative Association. Elisabetta also speaks fluent English and is able to deal with bilingual matters.

Join IACP for our April Webinar, Unbundled Legal Services - For Your Clients, Your Firm and You, hosted by Attorney AJ Skogerson, Co-Founder of The Law Shop by Skogerson McGinn LLC. We will chat about the who, what, when, where, and why of running an exclusively unbundled legal services firm. Mindful and intentional limited scope representation leads to decreased stress, increased income, and greater access to justice for all. AJ is passionate about helping other professionals custom design their own work in ways that support each individual's unique style and preferences for work/life balance. She coaches in client dialoguing and maximizing office efficiency so as to help our clients, our colleagues, and ourselves in living our very best lives.

This monthly gathering is intended for all active IACP members who identify as trainers and meet the IACP Minimum Standards for Collaborative Trainers to share techniques, experiences, and to participate in active discussions about training. The topic of this meeting is,  How to Properly Pace Your Trainings. IACP Communication Coordinator, Arianna Diaz, will also speak on how you promote Collaborative Practice and your Collaborative Community during United Nations-recognized event, World Creativity and Innovation Week.

IACP is proud to continue our tradition of offering accessible and in-depth workshops to Collaborative Practitioners from around the world through the 2022 IACP Global Virtual Institute, March 28 – 31, 2022.

The Institute will be held virtually from March 28- 31, 2022, and at times intended to accommodate as many of our international members as possible. The Institute offers five six-hour courses, which you can view course descriptions and video previews by Institute presenters here. Each course is broken into two days with three hours of instruction on each day, so attendees will need to attend both sessions held on different days to complete the course.

You can register for as many courses as you wish. Presenters have indicated that ALL sessions are appropriate for Financial, Legal, and Mental Health Professionals, and interdisciplinary participation is encouraged. Some classes have enrollment limits, so register soon to save your spot!

Each course is priced individually and active IACP members receive a discounted rate of $100.00 USD off each course. IACP also has a limited number of full and partial scholarships available, please click here to submit an application for a scholarship.

Are you're interested in leading a workshop or PFI at our upcoming 23rd Annual Forum?

IACP's Forum Workshop and Pre-Forum Institute (PFI) proposal forms are now open! The deadline to submit proposals is March 8, 2022, at 5:00 pm PST! IACP Forum workshop and PFI topics are diverse and aim to address innovative and in-demand topics in the Collaborative world. They meet the needs of developing and experienced interdisciplinary professionals as they grow to better meet their clients’, fellow professionals’, and their own professional needs.

PFIs are full-day, 6-hour sessions on Thursday and Friday which are often highly interactive and provide a deep dive into specific topics and skill building. Alternatively, workshops are 90 minutes to 3-hour sessions on Saturday and Sunday which allow participants to gain valuable insight into diverse topics and increase their awareness of initiatives relevant to their own interdisciplinary practices.
