2023 is shaping up to be a great year.

The Board of Directors just finished our January meetings. It was an epic meeting on Zoom. Four-hour long meetings for four evenings. Productive but exhausting. We have a great Board. The monthly webinars for the coming year are ready to roll out. It will be a great offering of educational opportunities, free to members of IACP. Committees will be reassembling soon as well.

We are working on the Forum in Toronto. The theme will be “Change the Future. Collaborate.” It is going to be a spectacular event. Save the date: October 19 - 21, 2023. It will be at the Westin Harbour Castle in downtown Toronto. We anticipate collaborative professionals from around the world will come together in big numbers now that traveling is normalizing. Toronto is a world-class city with much to offer. Why not plan on coming early and touring Niagara Falls, the beautiful autumn leaves in Algonquin Park, or enjoying all that Toronto has to offer? The US dollar is worth $1.33 right now in Canada so your money will go much further. We will be offering cutting edge workshops and the pre-forum institutes will offer advanced topics. We are searching for the perfect keynote speaker who will both educate and inspire. Of course, the best part of the Forum is connecting with like-minded professionals from around the world. I always come home with new ideas and new energy.

We just opened applications to conduct a workshop or Pre-Forum Institute in Toronto. Please consider offering your new ideas at the Forum. We want this to be a great experience for everyone so please bring us your best workshop ideas.

Expressions of Interest for Board service are now open as well. If you have served on committees and want to take the next step, apply to join the Board. I have really enjoyed my time on the Board. You meet and work with incredibly talented like-minded professionals from around the world. It really is rewarding to help bring peace to families throughout the globe.

In anticipation of an exceptional 2023 Forum in Toronto, the Forum Planning Committee is accepting workshop and PFI (Pre-Forum Institute) proposals earlier than in years past. 

Do you have great ideas and cutting-edge information to share with the Collaborative community? We want to hear from you!

Keep in mind that Forum attendees have varying degrees of Collaborative Practice experience, serve in communities from around the world, and learn in various ways.

We invite you to take the first step towards becoming part of IACP's Leadership by submitting your Board Expression of Interest now! Applications and recommendation letters must be received by March 15, 2023, to be considered.

IACP's Board welcomes diverse interdisciplinary professionals from around the world who are active members, can attend regularly scheduled videoconference board meetings, are available to travel to Forum and semi-annual in-person board meetings, are leaders in fundraising efforts, and are willing to serve as ambassadors of IACP!

All applications and recommendation letters must be received by March 15, 2023, to be considered. Please have two references each provide a recommendation letter directly to IACP via info@collaborativepractice.com to be considered.

Potential Board members must have:

• Maintained IACP membership for at least one year,
• Served on at least one IACP committee prior to consideration for Board service; and
• Attended at least one Annual Networking and Educational Forum
