IACP Happenings
Our Collaborative Community is buzzing with anticipation for this year's Forum—an event that promises to be truly unforgettable. Members from all corners are already coordinating vacations, both before and after the Forum, taking inspiration from the incredible practice groups in Iowa and Europe. Meanwhile, the Alberta and Ottawa practice groups are generously offering scholarships to ensure as many people as possible can join us for this remarkable experience. From October 19 to 22, Toronto, Ontario will be our vibrant hub of knowledge exchange, networking, and growth. Believe me when I say, you do not want to miss out on this! Registration is now open, so secure your spot today. And that's not all. At IACP, we constantly strive to provide outstanding value to our members. Our dedication is evident in the array of exceptional webinars we offer. Looking ahead, mark your calendars for the start of a thought-provoking seminar at the end of August: "Bargaining in the Shadow of the Heart: Integrating Emotional and Intellectual Intelligence in Collaborative Practice," led by the esteemed Dr. Stephen H. Sulmeyer. This captivating topic promises to shed light on the profound connections between emotions and intelligence within our field. But the excitement doesn't end there! I'm delighted to announce another exclusive webinar available to IACP members: "Collaborative Practice for Wills, Trusts, and Estates," presented by the brilliant Zinta Harris. It's truly refreshing to witness the expansion of Collaborative Practice techniques into new areas of law beyond family matters. Harris's insightful presentation explores the use of Collaborative Practice in inclusive estate planning conversations and resolving complex estate disputes—an approach that simply makes sense. This webinar will take place on August 31st so register now. As the summer season approaches, I encourage you to find time to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy precious moments with your loved ones. While we carry out our vital and meaningful work, let us not forget to prioritize self-care. We're all aware of the toll our efforts can take, so take care of yourself. Finally, I want to express my deep honor and gratitude for being part of this incredible global community of peacemakers. Together, we're making a significant impact, fostering harmony in the lives of our client families. Thank you so much for your efforts to bring peace to the world, one family at a time.
