Oh, and it's going to be a whole lot of Canadian-style fun! Reimagining IACP: Change is in the air, and the IACP is embracing it wholeheartedly. We've partnered with a consulting firm to shape a new business model that will allow us to thrive in the post-pandemic economy. The world has evolved, and we must evolve with it. In the coming weeks, we eagerly await the recommendations from our consultants, and we're excited about the opportunity to craft a strategic plan for the next three years. We're calling this transformative process "Reimagining IACP." It's a time of change, innovation, and adaptation as we work together to continue delivering value to our members. In my upcoming remarks at the Forum, I will share an update on our roadmap for renewal. These are challenging times, but what is truly remarkable is our community's unwavering support and passion for this organization and our movement. We're embarking on this journey together, and I couldn't be more grateful for your support. Collaborative Review: Did you catch the latest issue of the Collaborative Review? If you haven't, don't worry – it's just a few clicks away. Log into the IACP website, head to the Resource section, and look for "IACP Publications." Scroll through the list to find the newest issue, which pays tribute to our dear friend and Board member, Kevin Scudder. It contains articles about Kevin's impactful contributions and other engaging reads from leaders within our Collaborative community. Our heartfelt thanks go to Nancy Cameron for her outstanding work as the editor of the Collaborative Review. New Seminar in November: The ever-evolving "new world" has brought about some positive changes, one of which is the accessibility of top-notch seminars through platforms like Zoom. In November, we're thrilled to introduce a seminar series online like no other – "Building Bridges: IDEA* in Collaborative Practice (*Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility)." This seminar promises to be a game-changer, led by renowned trainers who are also active IACP members, Zara Suleman, David Hoffman, and incoming IACP President Julia McAninch. You can access this exceptional training from the comfort of your home or office – a testament to the power of technology in the new world. Check out the details here and prepare for an enriching experience. Community: We're part of an incredible and supportive community that spans the globe. As collaborative professionals, we often work alone, tirelessly striving to bring peace to families in conflict. It's not always easy, but moments like Kevin Scudder's passing reminds us that we're part of a loving, compassionate community of like-minded peacemakers. When we gather online at IACP seminars or in person at the Forum, we feel the warmth and support of our community. It's inspiring, rejuvenating, and simply delightful. I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for being an integral part of this remarkable global community of peacemakers. I look forward to welcoming you to Toronto. In unity and collaboration, Brian Galbraith, President of IACP |
