Greetings, We hope you are all safe and doing well as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold around the globe. We know that our resilient Collaborative community is working hard to adapt to this new world, and IACP is here to support you. One change that many of us are experiencing is the growth of online platforms. While IACP and many other groups have long been providing some kinds of continuing education online, the IACP Standards have had a requirement that Introductory Collaborative Practice trainings be conducted in-person. We have heard from many of you asking if that would change during the pandemic, and we are pleased to announce that our Board has passed a new, temporary policy to address this situation.
Given the nature of the unprecedented Covid-19 crisis, the Board approved a suspension of the in-person requirement for Introductory trainings set out in IACP Minimum Standard for Introductory Collaborative Practice Trainings and Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice Trainings - starting from March 15 2020 and until February 28 2021. The full policy statement is available HERE, so you can review the further requirements and suggestions linked to this decision.
This is a temporary decision, and a dedicated Task Force will be working on evaluating future steps and definitive requirements once the emergency has passed. We will keep our members updated as the situation continues to evolve. Questions and comments can be directed to Anne at atm@collaborativepractice.com.
Thank you to the many dedicated trainers who work so hard to create high-quality trainings that are crucial for transforming the way families resolve disputes!
With best wishes,
Francesca King, IACP Board President Anne Tamar-Mattis, IACP Executive Director
P.S. If you are a trainer offering Introductory trainings, don’t forget that IACP will give you a membership discount code for new trainees! Email Anne if you need the code. |
