It is almost time! Our board and staff are so proud of the momentum and excitement building around our first-ever virtual Forum. With the world’s largest gathering of Collaborative professionals now more affordable and accessible than ever, we are seeing first-time attendees from around the world: India, Italy, Brazil, Portugal, Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Australia, Hong Kong, Iowa, California, Vermont, New Hampshire, Florida… The list goes on and on! We are especially excited that our partnerships with IBPC and AIADC are allowing us to offer many workshops translated into Portuguese and Italian this year, enabling us to reach even more professionals. Our presenters, comprising some of the best trainers in the business, all went with the flow in transitioning to an online event because they are committed to our mission, and they understand the importance of providing high-quality ongoing training to our professional community. Our volunteer CLE/CEU subcommittee worked on continuing education credits, and we have credits pending or pre-approved in British Columbia, Ontario, California, Hong Kong, and Iowa. (If you’d like to see more on the list for next year, please volunteer!) All attendees will also receive a certificate of attendance for self-submission of credits where permitted. The Local Host Committee kept the spirit of “The Door is Open!” even as borders were closed. This is a crew that wants to make the party great for everyone, and they are not going to let us down. While the learning is world-class at the Forum, so is the fun. We’ll be hosting Special Gatherings, dine-arounds, and even a party around the world, with a unique surprise: the Christopher Farish dunk tank, guaranteed to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! See the full schedule HERE, shown in your local time zone. None of this would be possible, however, without our donors. The Forum is the peak of our annual Count Me In donation drive, where we ask every professional in our community to donate the value of one hour of his or her time. These funds make it possible for us to grow and continue spreading the word about Collaborative Practice far and wide. Please be sure you make your annual donation so we can add your name to our growing Count-Me-In list. If you want to know more about what Forum will be like this year, or if you’d like more information about how to navigate the virtual platform, come to our free Forum webinar on October 8. We’ll give you all the tips you need to make the most of the experience. Whatever you do, though, make sure you are registered by our closing date of October 16. We don’t want you to miss out on all this amazing community has to offer. The door is open! Sincerely, Anne Tamar-Mattis IACP Executive Director |
