What to Expect: The Uniform Collaborative Law Act (UCLA) was passed August 2013 in Washington State (RCW 7.77). It is the ideal time to add Collaborative Law to your practice! The Collaborative Law Professionals of Pierce County (CLPPC) is offering the basic training for all attorneys, mental health professionals, and financial professionals. This training is for new practitioners or seasoned professionals interested in refreshing their skills.
14.5 CLE credits (incl. 0.5 ethics) and 6.5 CEUs (provider #1975-272) for Psychologists, Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors by the National Association of Social Workers Washington Chapter through Collaborative Professionals of Washington.
This training is taught by an interdisciplinary Collaborative team (attorneys, mental health professionals, and financial specialist), and will offer demonstrations, small group activities, role playing, and hands-on practice. All attendees receive a manual with handouts, notes, and articles referenced in the training. Participants will have all the materials they need to start their Collaborative practice.
