Comments

I practice only out-of-court settlement divorce, utilizing a range of skills developed through collaborative divorce trainings and professionals from other disciplines when appropriate and possible. Divorce is a life-changing event and those going through it need counsel which helps them move forward and create a new life filled with promise, not pain. Having led divorcing parents through the trauma and non-sensical results that a litigation process normally produces, I decided that, morally and ethically, I could not continue to assist clients in an adversarial process when there is a better alternative out there. Collaborative divorce is a process I firmly believe will become the most common divorce process once the public becomes more aware of the option because it addresses the needs of the particular clients, not simply what a legislature thought a court should do to resolve issues surrounding divorce.
