Comments

After years of representing parents and children in divorces using the litigation model and seeing the damage it can do the individuals involved, I was attracted to collaborative practice. I have seen that collaborative practice is resolution model for divorce which acknowledges and addresses the concerns and desires of each member of the family. Family relationships are maintained and communication enhanced, to enable the family to work together in a positive, forward-moving manner.

I am currently an active member of two local California groups, and am working with the collaborative practice group in Hawaii. I have served on the training committee and as a trainer for the Peninsula Collaborative Family Law Group. I am an active member of Collaborative Practice San Francisco. I am an active member of the Northern California Public Education Committee and Collaborative Practice California.

I also serve as a Court Appointed Child Advocate for minors in litigated divorces. I served as a co-chair of the Northern California Children's Issues Committee of the California State Bar (2002-2004). I served as a co-chair of the Family Law Section of the San Mateo County Bar Association (1994).
