Profession(s)
Lawyer, Mental Health ProfessionalI am completely committed to Law as a healing profession. I understand that there may be a small number of occasions when fundamental principles of justice call for resolutions that only a third party - like a judge - can make. But for the vast majority of discussions or even disputes between people, open dialogue and collaboration is the only avenue that can result in a lasting, productive resolution.

Since 1999 my entire professional (and much of my personal) life has been devoted to the practice, development and promotion of Collaborative Law / Collaborative Practice. In 2000 I created, and still maintain, 'CollabLaw' which is a listServe communications vehicle on which Collaborative professionals throughout the world share ideas, questions and insights. I have taken and given several trainings in Collaborative Practice. I work as either the legal or the mental health professional (lawyer or 'coach') in various cases.
