Profession(s)

Barrister, Lawyer, Solicitor

Cassandra Jackson completed her articles with a law firm in Edmonton, Alberta and became an associate lawyer with the firm in June 2017. She opened her firm, Brick & Mortar Law, in 2022. Through her experiences, Cassandra has taken a keen interest in Family Law and has found the work extremely rewarding and fulfilling. She believes that her obligation as a lawyer is to heal conflict and ensure that families are able to move forward in a stable and healthy manner. In her opinion, the traditional litigation route of resolving family conflict tends to result in a breakdown in communication, and usually offers short-term solutions that do not satisfy either party. Cassandra believes Collaborative Law is a more favourable avenue to assist families in navigating a relationship breakdown as it educates both parties on their legal rights and obligations while facilitating effective communication. By fostering effective communication and education, parties are able to move forward and create meaningful and long lasting resolutions that meet their unique goals and needs.
