Profession(s)
Mental Health Professional, Mediator, OtherI am a Certified Divorce Coach and Child Specialist Collaborative Law Professional in North and South Carolina, and a Certified Parent Coordinator. I assist clients and families through all aspects of the divorce process. with children individually who are experiencing or have experienced divorce within their family unit.
Despite all of the education I have in Divorce-the best education I have received was through my own divorce experience. I am in a unique position in which I have both the education and personal experience of going through a divorce with 3 children to understand on a deeper level what clients are experiencing. Even as a professional who works with Divorce as a living, the process was very overwhelming and despite having all of the tools, my personal divorce process was extremely overwhelming and I could not imagine how difficult it is for clients without the education regarding Divorce.
I have a very directive approach when working with parents and help clients think of creative solutions to address that come up in the process.
Together with the collaborative team, we work towards the goal of creating an agreement that both parties can walk away with feeling comfortable.
No one gets married with the expectation of getting divorced. When you are splitting the past 10 years or more of your life, it is an overwhelming process and it can be extremely difficult to not let these emotions drive your decisions.
A Divorce Coach helps parents make that paradigm shift and if children are involved I assist with parenting plans and co-parenting. I am certified as a child's specialist and I utilize the skill sets as well to help provide information on the children's experiences. My education and experience
No one walks away from divorce "winning". Collaborative Law gives you the opportunity to have more of a say in your Divorce Story. Collaborative Divorce provides a one stop shop platform where you are working with a team of different specialist. Ultimately this decreases conflict and helps both parties navigate a plan that is driven by them and individualized to create a plan that is in the best interest of your children.

Comments
In addition to being a Collaborative Divorce Coach, I am also Child Specialist. I have over 15 years of experience working with children with two homes. While I work within the collaborative divorce context, there are cases in which I will work with attorneys collaboratively (team approach). This option is a less form way to work with professionals and it gives me the ability to stay on your case post divorce.
