Mental Health ProfessionalI have served as a counsellor and trainer for over 23 years in different counselling settings in non-governmental organisations, educational institutions, and private counselling centres. I am a registered counsellor under the Board of Counsellors of Malaysia and have vast counselling experience supporting families, couples, and clients who have experienced trauma. For the past 11 years, my clinical work has focused on supporting couples and families. I am the founder and clinical director of Heal Systemic Therapy Centre. I have more than 15 years of tertiary teaching experience and have successfully developed and launched a postgraduate counselling programme. I have published several journal articles and have presented them at national and international conferences. I have been invited and participated as the research paper reviewer to review psychology and qualitative research papers. I am a well-trained qualitative researcher, and my current research interests are in human resilience, psychological healing, couple & family therapy, and women's issues. I have been appointed President of the Malaysian Marriage and Family Therapy Association (MyMFT) (2021 – 2023) and recently been reappointed as President for MyMFT from June 2023 – June 2025.
