Mental Health Professional

I work with you to help you cope with what is by its nature a very difficult process. I assist you in discovering what is most important to you in terms of your future and that of your family, how to effectively articulate this to your spouse or partner, and how to be a clear thinker during negotiations. My long-term and ongoing study of communication enables me to facilitate direct and clear communication between a couple. I further work with you, where there are children, to develop a parenting plan and co-parenting relationship that allow children to grow and thrive. My graduate degree in Clinical Child Psychology makes me especially suited to this task. Clients report that I am compassionate, non-judgmental, and yet direct in my approach.

Comments

Collaborative Practice is a consensual dispute resolution model that allows couples to base the terms of their settlement on their values, the well-being of their family, their goals for the future, and the law, if they so choose. Throughout the process, clients are supported by a team of professionals, each doing what they are best at. I bring over twenty years experience in working with families in distress. I understand the enormity of the change, emotionally and financially, when a family transitions from one configuration to another. My experience has taught me that the dissolution of a relationship with careful consideration of children's needs can make all the difference in the lives of children, now and later. I offer services in divorce coaching, custody mediation, co-parent counseling and crisis intervention for couples who are trying to save their marriages.
