Profession(s)
Mediator, OtherI envision a world that honors the dignity and inherent value of every person and where the resolution of conflict is restorative rather than retributive. My work is guided by the values of dignity, empowerment, communication and taking a holistic approach.
I love music. I play the harp and have been singing in choirs most of my life. One of the things I’ve learned from that experience is that harmony does not require uniformity. Some of the most glorious music arises out of complex chords built in just the right way. I see the same thing in my work with people. Resolving conflict does not require us to abandon our values or integrity. By choosing integrative techniques like collaborative process, mediation and conscious contracting we achieve the deeper level of understanding necessary to build lasting solutions that work for everyone.
