Profession(s)

Lawyer, Attorney, Mediator

I concentrate my practice on mediation, collaborative and uncontested divorces, and non-litigation general counsel for small businesses. A strong business background, a devotion to helping Texas families and businesses, and over 20 years of experience in state and federal courts throughout Texas give me an edge in high-asset divorces. My focus is to address head-on the root causes of fear, anxiety, and paralysis that go hand-in-hand with divorce. If left unchecked, these feelings feed anger and instinctual lashing out that make the process difficult and expensive.

The antidote to these feelings is to start with an assurance – divorce does not have to be this way. Instead, the focus is on knowledge and empowerment. Armed with these, sound business decisions can be made. The parties can focus on understanding the process, identifying the things that are most important to each spouse, and working to ensure that post-divorce both households are stable and financially sound.

I am trained and experienced in collaborative law, mediation, and I am a strong advocate of alternative dispute resolution. Practical solutions crafted by the parties, with good advice and sound judgment, are far better than uncertain results thrust upon the parties in traditional divorces.
