Profession(s)

Lawyer

As a divorce and collaborative attorney, my goal is to help clients achieve the best outcome possible while attempting to minimize the financial and emotional damage of divorce.

My approach is to assist clients to reach a fair and long-lasting outcome that will help divorcing clients to avoid conflicts in the future, and most importantly, move forward and begin new lives. I am committed to the hard work of problem-solving with both sides, believing that a collaborative approach typically brings clients’ matters to a quicker and better resolution.

I believe that a divorce settlement is very much a “package”. I help clients project their needs for the future and make decisions about which critical pieces they and their families will need for the long-term. Moreover, as the mother of three children, if a case involves children, I understand the importance of ensuring that the children’s best interests are protected and minimizing conflict.

I have been named by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the 'Top Domestic Relations Lawyers' in the area, and recognized as a top lawyer by both Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers.

I am a founding member of the DC Academy of Collaborative Professionals and currently serve as a member of DCACP’s Education Committee, which provides educational programs to our members with the goal of increasing the level of Collaborative Practice in the DC area.
