Having practiced family law for over 30 years, and having mediated since 1986, I have a clear understanding of the intricacies and problems of divorce and family dynamics, as well as an appreciation for the shortcomings of the traditional litigation process in solving them. Collaborative practice affords a unique opportunity to adopt a problem-solving, forward looking approach to dealing with these issues, and my experience as an attorney, mediator, author, and professor provide me with the knowledge and skills to make good use of this remarkable tool. In recognition of my commitment and achievements, I am listed in 'Best Lawyers in America' in the areas of Collaborative Law, Family Law Mediation, and ADR and have been named a Missouri 'Super Lawyer' in the area of ADR. I am also a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. I was named "Lawyer of the Year" for 2013 in St. Louis by Best Lawyers for Collaborative Law: Family Law and again for 2015 for Family Law Mediation.
