Comments

I believe the single most important factor in most family law cases is the level of conflict management the parties can achieve. Reducing and resolving conflict while pursuing a fair and equitable agreement for both parties that provides for the well being of children is at the heart of my collaborative law practice and mediation practice. I believe my role as a collaborative attorney is to guide my clients through the process in a manner that preserves and protects their relationships with their co-parent and with their children, their privacy, their resources, and their ability to thrive after the case has ended with a fair settlement. The team approach to resolving conflict through collaborative law provides participants with access to legal counsel whose goals include reaching a fair settlement, as well as a Family Neutral who helps identify and resolve emotional barriers to settlement, and a Financial Neutral who helps the parties determine their post divorce needs and budgets, promoting fairness and maximizing the parties’ financial resources to the benefit of both parties. The collaborative process results in the best outcomes while minimizing the financial and emotional toll of a litigated case.
